Hi, my name is Kenzlie and I was a final candidate in the 2025 Nebraska’s Kid Governor Cabinet. I’m now a member of the Kid Governor’s Cabinet working with 2026 Kid Governor Charlie!
I ran on a platform on recycling. I chose this issue because I would love to go somewhere and not see people throw plastic, glass, paper, or cardboard items in the trash, because almost all those items can be thrown away in the recycling bin.
My three-point platform is:
- Creating cardboard days by having people bring cardboard and you can decorate the cardboard.
- Creating recycling paper day, you can write as many kind notes as you want to and, give to your teacher to make their day.
- Creating aluminum and glass recycling days, you can collect as much aluminum and glass as you can and bring it to your Elementary school .
Since the Statewide Election, I have been working in Student Council to make a full day recycling event. I will continue to work on my platform by trying to get my friends and other people around me to help me recycle.
